Pre-sale Participants

Now that FIO Protocol Mainnet is live, those who reserved FIO Addresses and Domains in the Pre-Sale may have questions about how to utilize them.

FIO Addresses on a Wallet’s Domain

If you reserved a FIO Address on a wallet’s FIO Domain (e.g., david@edge), your FIO Address will become usable within the wallet you utilized to initiate your pre-sale registration as soon as that wallet completes their FIO Integration. That wallet has your FIO Private key stored within it. You now own the non-fungible token (NFT) for this FIO Address.

If you are no longer using the wallet with which you initiated your FIO Address pre-sale with, you may use your recovery phrase from that wallet to recover your FIO private key inside of another wallet that has enabled FIO Address display/resolution and your FIO Address will appear in that wallet.

You can view the current status of wallet integrations of the FIO Protocol. Look for wallets that have “FIO Address Registration” enabled. Please reach out directly to the wallet you are using to obtain more detailed updates on their current status of FIO Protocol integration.

FIO Domains

If you reserved a FIO Domain, once the wallet where you initiated your FIO Domain pre-sale registration enables FIO Domain Registration integration you will be able view and utilize your FIO Domain in that wallet. You now own the non-fungible token (NFT) for this FIO Domain.

If you are no longer using the wallet with which you initiated your FIO Address pre-sale with, you may use your recovery phrase from that wallet to recover your FIO private key inside of another wallet that has enabled FIO Domain display/resolution and your FIO Domain will appear in that wallet.

Domain transfer is not yet enabled but is a current FIO Improvement Proposal that is fully expected to be implemented soon.
