Powering the FIO Protocol
The FIO Token is a utility token that powers the FIO Protocol and its Ecosystem.
Native token for FIO Chain.
Powers FIO Chain’s Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism and governance including Block Producer election and FIO Foundation Board election.
Used to pay all on-chain fees, including registration fees for FIO Handles and Domains.
Incentivizes Ecosystem participant to act in the best interest of the Protocol.

Wrapped FIO Token on Ethereum
FIO Tokens can be wrapped (moved) to the Ethereum chain to enable trading on decentralized exchanges, such as Uniswap.
Wrapping and unwrapping (moving back to FIO Chain) is accomplished using a decentralized FIO Bridge operated by a subset of Block Producers.
