This WP provides 3 main functions

  • Product Integration Support
    Bridge the gap between protocol and real-world applications by providing technical support to product integrators

  • Blockchain Development
    Focused on the continued expansion of FIO protocols features
    FIO Assets development, testing, integration help with partners

  • Product Evangelist
    Present FIO protocol's vision , use cases, and products in an accessible way to academic audiences, fostering collaboration, research and adoption

Budget Description

$24k USD Total

Initial $12k paid $4kmonthly
Funding assumes $6k can be used from Alternative Revops WP and $6k from Core Infrastructure WP Lead budgets for the May-July proposal period

Additional $12k USD in FIO is paid on the condition FIO Assets development has successfully been completed, tested and deployed and the FIO token market price has recovered to $.05 day closing price (CMC).

I would vote ‘No’ on this WP and do align with Emily and Pawel on their feedback.

I would vote ‘No’.
I believe we are not in a position to fund additional development, especially considering we reduced funding from the Core Infrastructure WP to become more of a maintenance WP.
Technical support seems to be partly covered from the Core Infra WP, therefore additional support not needed.
Given current market conditions, I don't think university outreach would be beneficial.

I vote not to approve this WP for the following reasons:

  • Current market conditions

  • State of Foundation Treasury

  • Reduction in Core Blockchain Team to support new chain development

  • My personal belief that Technical support should not be offered at this time

  • My personal lack of confidence that this functionality would attract any new users to FIO Chain

  • My personal lack of confidence that an “Evangelist” would generate much traction for FIO at this time.
