Steering Committee discussions and decisions

  • EZOps now requires paying for at least a 1/2 time ops. 80 hours * $40 = $3200

    • I will ask if they are willing to go lower. Otherwise the options are:

      • Pay for half time ops @ $3,200 / month

      • Move to new outsourced ops group

  • AWS

    • We have been trying to lower costs, but there is not one big cost. It is spread out across many services and servers.

    • Total averages around $5,200 K/month (includes general devops and dashboard)

    • Budget is currently at $4,000 ($3,000 general + $1,000 dashboard)

    • For new budget after Feb budget discussions I will be upping the general AWS budget from $3,000 to $4,200).
