User Experience Research

Table of Contents

Overview

The FIO dashboard has been launched and is currently out in the wild and available for user. Limited, to no research or tracking has been performed to date on the dashboard or its entry points. The goal of the user experience research will be to continuously seek to improve and optimize the user experience. In order to do that, a few tools as well as usability studies have been put into place.

Recommendations

Overall findings suggest too many steps relative to other domain naming services.

  • Streamline

    • Remove confirm password field

      • Standard practice looks to be removing this step

    • Remove review of Information prior to account creation

      • Limited feedback supports this as a friction point already

  • Remove barriers to purchase:

    • Remove email confirmation as part of the purchase process

  • Other options

    • Offer other “sign in” options that bypass account creation altogether
