Usability test for Coinomi on 06/08/2021, using an iPhone SE 2016, iOS 14.6.

With every usability test, I do not use or search for the wallet’s how-to guides. I aim to figure out everything I need within the platform.

My first approach is to try using the FIO service (requests and send) in the wallet app immediately and see if the wallet can direct me to the right places to get started with those features.

Registering a FIO Address:

Very difficult process. Things that seemed easy just didn’t work and I had to repeat several times until it worked.

The final repetition that worked:

After going back to the Coinomi app, you return to the page right before the browser app opens. There is no confirmation or notification in Coinomi that a FIO address was created.

Mapping a FIO Address:

Buggy process and the app never made it clear that mapping crypto to FIO address was required.

Some wallets seem to map crypto automatically. This wallet gave no indication/alerts that I needed to map my crypto to the FIO address. It was only when I attempted to send FIO requests via another wallet (Edge) that I realized that my ETH wasnt connected to my FIO address.

Sending FIO Requests:

Sending FIO Requests didnt work at all. The FIO addresses are properly mapped. Horrible experience.

Accepting FIO Requests:

Cant decline requests. Can accept requests. Overall very buggy and annoying experience.

Sending funds with FIO Address:

Couldn’t send ETH out of Coinomi.
